Support You South Africa

Helping you to connect, communicate and thrive in your new context

Activities

Support You South Africa runs various programmes that help you to grow in confidence and ability to communicate and find your way in South African society.

Group Programmes

Group Programme

Support You Groups are engaging small-group settings that include content on:

  • Practical details on living in South Africa - home affairs, accessing resources, supporting institutions, education, etc
  • South African culture, history and context
  • English communication and pronunciation
  • Finding ways to connect and building confidence

We run programmes for people who are new to South Africa (the Arriving Programme) and those who have been here for some time (The Surviving Programme)

Connect with other people in a similar situation to you, in a safe environment which is designed to help you thrive both practically and socially

Individual Sessions

Individual Sessions

Support You Individual Sesssions provide mixed language training and coaching that helps women to thrive in their South African context.

These sessions are tailored to the individual client and will help you with whatever aspects of adaptation you most need. This can include:

  • Improving English communication, pronunciation, understanding of words etc
  • Practical aspects of living with a family in a different context
  • Finding ways to connect with the people around you and build confidence

For more information on these opportunities, please contact us. You might also want to read stories about how these programmes have helped others
